Is there any computer virus called on3?and is there any computer viruses , which can effect mother b

some told me that he hacked my pc with on3 virus, he said this virus is on mother board and no one can deactivate it without a pass word, and only the person who gave this virus to pc know the password, also he said it works through email, i want to know if such a thing exist, becaouse i searched for it but i could not find any information about it, is it real or just a bluff??

i heard certain virus can increase the speed of your HDD reading more than the usual. it than cause the HDD to be damaged. Same for the CPU too. but sorry i didn't know the name. but my friend told me long ago about this. it might be a bluff but might also be true. just beware. and please check the task manager for any suspicious activity always

I just checked Symantec's online enclopedia of all known threats, virus as well as spyware. there is nothing resembling on3 or any combination I could come up with. If such a thing exists, it would be listed in Symantec. I think someone is having fun scaring you, but...foresight is better than no sight at all. Get a good antivirus installed. AVG 7.5 free is currently listed as the #1 antivirus available.

There is an online dictionary of viruses. I'm not sure about yours. Check with Norton and their dictionary. I don't think there is such a virus like yours
