Where are sites that i can download free music but the site not be ridden with viruses?

i want to get free songs for my ipod since im a teen and not old enough to work yet until one year..anyways...ive researched using limewire but it is repeated taht it is ridden with viruses and i dont want to ruin my computer but i simply dont have enough money to buy alot of songs of itunes....is there any site? or do i just have to wait till i can get a hold of some money to buy a song or two...=/

If you're worried about viruses invest $50 in a good anti-virus/anti-spyware program for protection. And by the time you download 50 songs, you've paid for it with the money you saved NOT downloading from iTunes.

Honestly, Limewire isn't that bad. Its pretty obvious to tell which are virus-ridden (the zipped folders), so if you stay away from them you'll be pretty safe.

Well all of these sites are illegal anyways period. If you intend to use them for legitimate downloads, ahem, then limewire, bearshare, and the likes are all frought with viruses. Just make sure you have good virus protection and scan songs before playing them.
