Why do alot of computer geeks waste time hacking into other's comps or creating new viruses which aggravate and annoy computer users? Why not do something productive instead of creating more problems and make decent people have to pay dearly for their ignorance and moronic behaviour? Wouldn't their time and energy be better used creating games, websites, educational tools online? But perhaps once a moron, always a moron?

They do this because they are bored. They are usually in their middle teens and come home to an empty house. Since Mom and Dad aren't around enough, they take their anger and direct it at people like you and me. I have not made this up. Microsoft has published these findings after long investigations of these dirtbags.
I agree that their time can be better spent and utilized. Preferrably in the State or Fedral Prisons where they should be.

Nope. Cracking is a good revenge tool. Just because you can crack a computer doesn't mean you're automatically some superprogrammer who can program anything you know. Remember, hackers and crackers are two completely different things. Hackers are programmers, crackers break and enter.
